Science and Quill Pens

We did several experiments today involving water. This was her favorite. We made a mark on a coffee filter with markers (the non-washable kind) and put the ends with the mark in water to see what would happen. I think it would have worked better with white filters but, we only had the "natural" brown filters.

Alex doing his "Lego school" as he calls it while we did "regular" school.

We also learned about the Declaration of Independence today and made homemade ink and quill pens (courtesy of Hobby Lobby). Abigail chose a hot pink feather. We made the ink out of crushed blueberries, vinegar, and salt.

Alex chose to participate for a little bit and used a black feather and wrote his name. Then he went back to Lego school.
